What are games in water good for?

The medium of water enables children with severe physical disabilities to experience and develop a form of motion for the first time. For many children (especially those with Angelman syndrome) water is a special joy. Movements can be initiated and developed with reduced gravity that cannot initially be performed outside the water. The special situation makes it possible to gather new experiences in all areas of perception and thus learn new possibilities for action. For this the Halliwick method and the therapy according to Affolter is applied in parts.
This is not a swimming training or a swimming school.

We go to the local public swimming halls or rent small swimming pools attached to sanatories.
